I looked at base ball catchers bags (Easton wheeled) with my free dive fins fitting perfectly in the sleeve for bats. They are great for the purpose but im traveling overseas diving and wanted more space for clothes etc.
This bag is basic, a major main compartment and the little side, end one only, but thats what i needed. It is made of tougher material than a batters bag and will stand up to air travel much better.
As for fit with freedive fins. The batters bag had more length somehow. This bag is kinda stiff shelled which is restricting. I now lay a fin along each side, with the foot pockets towards the top end (pull handle) , this makes a difference and the fit straight and snug. Then load rest of gear into the center :)

It is 2" over legal size but looks ligit and i am not expecting to get called out on it. But be prepared. It is oversize if they want to push the issue.

So, fits my gear, very well made, looks legal size, rolls great. Im happy.
Expensive, but if ya want to buy just once, a good bag for international freedive fin travel and fit clothes etc, get this.

Beste Qualität, schöne Optik, sehr brauchbar, sehr belastbar, aber: Die Griffergonomie ist verbesserungswürdig. Entweder schlägt man beim Laufen ständig mit der Ferse gegen die rollende Tasche, oder man hält den Griff in unbequemer Weise in etwas so, als ob amn einen Teild des Gewichts tragen würde. Bis 100 Meter Strecke ok, darüber hinaus zu anstrengend.

It's a really nice bag. Well constructed looks and feels quality. The size is about the maximum size the airline this will allow. Like the compression straps.

The only minus is it is slightly more difficult to wheel it through the airport because it just has a soft handle at the top of the bag. I wouldn't want to wheel it over a longer distance.

Ideally I would have liked to see it have a hard telescoping handle.

Giant. Perfect. With a set of ebags cubes, nothing could be finer for travel. Nobody mentions the handle located on the very bottom, but there is one which makes stowing all your stuff a breeze. This has a large cavernous space accessible by a full-length opening and two zippered spaces, one on the top and one down a side. This one does it for me.

This is an very well built piece of luggage. I bought this for my wife who requires a bag of this capacity for any trip longer than two days. She has had several bags destroyed by baggage handlers in the past two years so I decided to get her a bag that will last. I have used a smaller version of this bag for several years and it shows virtually no wear at all. I am hopeful.
